Vivian Merrymist has come a long way with recovering from major surgery. We rescued her from the shelter in a rough medical state.
She came to us requiring a bilateral mastectomy, and dental surgery that resulted in several teeth extractions. She has since recovered from her first surgery, but is still recovering from her second mastectomy.
Since sleep plays an important role in an elderly dog's life, it's essential to allow Vivian a quiet and safe environment that's always available for her to retreat to. Making sure she has a comfortable and supportive place to rest is even more important as she ages.
We recommend granny Vivian be the only dog and/or have a maximum of one submissive mature sibling. Also, a home with patience that practices slow introductions, since she’s still a work in progress with potty training.
She really enjoys being outside and taking short sunbathing breaks, so having a yard would be ideal but a nice sized patio or deck would also suffice. Vivian’s favorite past time is sleeping, barking, sunbathing, eating, snacking, and cuddling. She loves freeze dried rabbit treats. Her happiness is being close to her foster parents, but it’s obvious that she prefers men over women.
Sharing your heart with a senior dog is one of the most rewarding experiences in life.
