Why Adopt a Bulldog?

Here at Roadogs, we have a soft spot for dogs.  We’re best known for Bulldogs, Pugs and French Bulldogs.  So, we’re on a mission to find them the perfect homes. But adopting a dog isn’t just about getting a new pet.  It’s about understanding their unique quirks and needs so that they fit into your home as smoothly as possible.  

Even though bulldogs and frenchies are popular and sought after, many end up abandoned and dumped in shelters because they require more care than expected. That’s why it helps to have experience with these breeds or to have done your research!  

When you adopt a dog from us, you’re not just giving a dog a new home; you’re joining a family that’s about love, care, and understanding. We offer support, training, and guidance to make sure your adoption journey is a joyful one.

How the Adoption Process Works

When you find a dog that tugs at your heartstrings, the process starts with a $10 non-refundable application fee that serves as a donation to help save lives.

Once you submit the completed app, you’ll get an automated email to let you know that we have received it (please check your spam). One of our dedicated team members will then review the app, and if considered a suitable match, we’ll reach out to you within seven days for a phone interview.  If this goes well, we’ll move on to a virtual home visit.  

Every dog is an individual and every home is different.  Sometimes applicants are just not the best fit for a variety of reasons that are no reflection on you – eg location, time away from home, other pets in home etc.  

If so, we’ll email you within seven days of receiving the app.   Once you submit an app for a dog, it is valid for six months. If you choose another dog, please email adoptions@roadogsandrescue.org.
